Insurance
In the state of New Mexico, most medical insurance covers TMJ (temporomandibular joint) and very few dental plans cover TMJ at all. Presbyterian and Lovelace Insurance Plans are two examples of insurance companies that do cover TMJ but it depends on your individual coverage as to how much your medical insurance will cover. We encourage each patient to be very aware of their medical benefits, as we cannot be held responsible for the final determinations made by an insurance company.
We are contracted with Presbyterian Health Plan, Lovelace Health Plan and UnitedHealthcare. While there are many insurance companies across the country that we are not contracted with, we will be happy to assist you in filing your claims.
